Office 2003 install

I have recently run itno a problem with office xp when I
try to run any application it says preparing to install
after I have installed it. so I go through the steps of
putting in the cd and letting it finish. when I reboot the
computer it starts all over again. My thought was to
totally remove the program but that did not work any
suggestions would be helpfull.
