I'm in a situation where I need to install Office 2003 on fifty
laptops. These laptops connect to the domain via 56k dial-up
connection so I can't use AD to deploy the software. We don't have
SMS setup so I can't use that either. Does anybody have any
suggestions for how this can be done?
The only thought I had was to send each of them a CD with an autorun
installation script. However, I don't want to allow the users to put
this CD in any computer and install the program. (We use volume
licensing so it would be possible for them to do that). Is it
possible to put on the CD an expiry date on for the installation?
This way, if the install wasn't done within two weeks of when the CD
was created the installation files would expire.
Any thoughts?
