I take it you mean partial installation of Windows XP SP2 the OS. If I'm
wrong sorry. But you didn't label the term SP2 making this a bit of
guesswork since there are many SP2s in the MSFT kingdom.

If that's the case, you want to correct this. See this: Here's how:

The AutoRecovery feature lets you recover from an unsuccessful installation
of Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;878455

If this does not work, I'd use this KB with 5 methods to unisntall your
partial Win XP SP2 installation.

How to remove Windows XP Service Pack 2 from your computer

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;875350

I would also download the Windows Installer Cleanup Utiliity and see if
there is an entry for MOS 03 (I guess there won't be) and if so, then select
and click it so that you can get any install files out of the way that may
be on board from the failed installation of MOS 03. Sounds involved, but
these steps are quick and simple.
