Office 2003 installation

The os is xp pro. I am trying to install office 2003, currently running
office 2000. During installation I am asked to insert Office 2000 disk 2, I
do so and I receive as error message....data file cannot be found. I am
using the original office 2000 cd. I click cancel and installation proceeds
for a short time. Then I receive error messages in reference to different
cab files and I cancel installation of 2003.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

Is this an upgrade installation or a parallel installation?
And if, when aborted and rebooted, you insert your O2k cd does a repair
installation or uninstall work?

This is an upgrade installation. When I cancell installation of 2003, office
2000 works fine no issues. Therefore, I have never inserted the 2000 again
for repair.
