By installing Office 2003 the Settings portion of Netork Connection Settings
under the Advanced tab of the Windows Firewall fails to start and errors out
with a rundll32 error statubg "The instruction at "0x00000000" referenced
memory at "0x00000000". The memory cold not be "written". Click on OK to
terminate the program/Click on CANCEL to debug the program. If you click
cancel to debug DrWatson crashes out as well.
This only happens when Office 2003 is loaded. If Office 2003 is removed the
Firewall settings work like a champ. Install Office 2003 and the error above
occurs. Here's the catch, if you run the firewall.cpl as the local admin it
works just fine.
Computer is running in a domain environment. Any ideas?
