Office 2003 Key

D

dunmaul

Verification failed on my Office 2003 installation as for some reason or
other the Office 2003 has, apparently, got an invalid Key.

How do I go about getting a Valid Key as the product I bought was bought in
good-faith and it newer crossed my mind that it could be a fake on account of
the high price paid by me.

Would somebody please help me with an address (microsoft) where I can get a
Valid Key?

Where did you purchase you copy of Office 2003? Did you read the numbers and letters correctly? The copy that you purchased is it an Upgrade,OEM,Retail and which flavor?

Peter,

I got it a few years ago whilst in London and everything seemed fine with it
initially and thankfully I made a copy of it - I do this with all my Software
- and put the copy into a Safe. One evening my house was broken into and my
PC and all the adjacent Software was stolen but although I was able to claim
for the PC I didn't do so for the Software as I had copies.

All my Software is "Retail" - at least that is my belief.

If you are trying to install your copy of Office 2003 on a new
computer, then the new computer may have come with a trial
version of Office 2003 preinstalled on the hard drive by the
computer manufacturer, and you should uninstall the trial version
before installing your full version of Office 2003. See

'invalid product key' error message when you start an Office 2003
program after you install Office Professional Edition 2003".

Everything was fine until a few days ago when my Automatic Windows /
Microsoft Updater installed a new version of Genuine Advantage.

It was only after this that I found out my Key was not valid hence my
request as to where in Microsoft could I get (purchase) a so-called "Genuine
Key"

I heard they were going to make it tougher on people with pirated software.

Looks like a trip to amazon.com is needed.

And it looks like I was taken-in "Hook, Line & Sinker" by the one in London
who sold me the so-called Genuine Office Software for neigh on £400.

That cost seems REALLY out of line. In the US, the price of Office Pro is
about £275. Why didn't you get it thru Amazon or your local office supply
company?

At the time I believed it to be around £400 and checking even today I have
found a range between £334 and £384 for the full product.

That's still awfully expensive but I don't know how that ranks with other
differences of costs of software in the US to the UK.
