My 3rd grade classroom is running twenty copies of Office 2003 in Windows
2000. All of the system ran fine for a number of months. Then when the kids
would look for clipart, some machines would hang. That continues so the kids
don't use clipart on those systems. The bigger problem is that now three of
the systems won't let Office run at all. Without using clipart and after
very short sessions, the Office applications lock.
We have tried reinstalling Office without any notable improvements.
The systems are all donated Pentium 450 or better with 128 MB of RAM. We use
Sophos antivirus and it updates daily.
Some of the systems that don't run Office are seemingly identical to systems
to systems that run it perfectly.
Any thoughts of what to try?
Thanks,
Joe
