Office 2003 locks up when trying to insert a file

I have a couple of users that are using Office 2003 and when they try
to Insert a file in any office application, it immediately locks up.
Only the office application locks up. You can still use the computer
with other applications. Both users took Microsoft updates this morning
before this happened. I have many other users that took the same
updates and have no problems at all though. Any ideas????
