Office 2003 MSOCACE with MSI

I am attempting to Deloy Office 2003, and wish to utilize the Local
Instatllation Source feature. Is it possible to create this cache when
calling the MSI file directly, or is it a requirement to call setup.exe
first. The reason I ask is that I am using Wininstall 8.5 to distribute it
to my clients, and if I install via the MSI as opposed to the Setup.exe,
patching is much easier when utilizing the WinInstall product. I guess what
I want to know, is how do I enable the caching when calling an MSI file
directly. I have used the CIW to populate the Product Key, however this does
not do it. As well I have tried adding the CDCACHE=2, and the
LOCALCACHEDRIVE=C to the additional properties at the end of the CIW, however
it dows not work

Any idea's?

Thanks,

You need to run the MS Office 2003 Setup.exe
to use the Local Install Source (LIS). It's
not part of the MS Installer setup logic. You may be
able to use the information here
