Office 2003 Prof Edition "key" problem

I bought a new computer this summer and installed Office 2003. Things were
fine until tonight when working in Word, it asked for my Key. I entered and
it says the key is not valid. Microsoft wants $49.50 for me to get an answer.
Any thoughts as to why the program I got from Microsoft does not accept the
Key?

Did you try the Telephone Activation line and speak to a real person and explain your issue. Did you activate your Office through the Internet when you installed the suite
