Office 2003 Professional vs Standard

Guys,

Just want to make sure it works. At MS website, I can only download
the Standard version. I am downloading as we speak.

I need to test to see if the docs, files, etc. can be saved so older
vesion of Office 2000 can view them.

We are planning to buy the 2003 Office Profession, but since
downloading offers the "Standard" version.

My question is that the Standard vs Professional versions should not
affect my compatible test with Office 2000?

for the differences between the Standard and Professional
editions. Outlook .pst files will be different between 2003 and
2000. Word, Excel, and Powerpoint files should be compatible,
except that newer features available in 2003 will not be
supported in 2000.
