Office 2003 service pack 3 problems

excel and word hang once you open the application and select "look in" - this
only started after service pack 3. Tried uninstalling the entire suite and
reinstalling without any service packs and then just adding service pack 2
and the issue is still there.

.... which should tell you that the problem is not related to service
packs for Office 2003.

Windows XP: Right-click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop
or in the Windows Start menu, left-click on Disconnect Network Drive,
and disconnect any mapped drives that are not currently available.

Windows Vista: Click on Start | Computer | Tools | Disconnect Network
Drive, and disconnected any mapped drives that are not currently available.

This problem exists for users on a netware network running windows xp and the
only users having this problem are the ones with office 2003 service pack 3.
I cannot disconnect network drives as they are all mapped drives in use on
the network.

What version of the Novell Client are you using? Reason I ask is that I
have not seen this behavior with 4.91 SP3/4, but I have with earlier
versions (e.g. 4.90).
