We are upgrading from Office XP Pro to Office 2003 Pro. I have followed
the instructions for creating an Administrative Install on the network
and have configured the MST.
Tested it on one machine so far and it doesn't remove the shortcuts for
Access amd Outlook and replace them in the quick launch bar. I tried to
get the MST to delete them prior to install so they could be setup again
later in the MST but that doesn't appear to work. The minute you open
Outlook you end up with two icons there
It replaces the Excel and Word ones fine just not the other two.
Also does anyone know how to get the special Outlook icon on the desktop
to change to the new Outlook 2003 icon? It's annoying me that it has the
XP icon there. Can't right click to get to it's properties because it
brings up the email properties. Before anyone suggests it, I don't want
to delete it and use a shortcut, there must be some setting somehwere
that controls this.
If I can get these two issues sorted I think I am ready to role it out as
everything else seems to work.
I have searched google but nothing suggested itself there that I could
find.
