in the Installed Updates area...(unlike all other Updates that a right click
will give me the option to Uninstall) !!!

BUT listed in Add/Remove PROGRAMS though is a Microsoft Office 2003 WEB
COMPONENTS item....maybe that has something to do with tthis strange (to me)
Office 2003 Important Update ???

Hi Rod,

Yes, the Office 2003 web components installation can trigger Office 2003 updates being offered and whether they are downloaded and
then installed 'automatically' depends on your settings at http://update.microsoft.com. For the future you may want to change to
have the settings download but then ask before installing.
