Office 2003 Std. Trial Ver. vs Prof. Edition later

I have a new computer that came with Works 8.0 OEM on it. If I download the
trial version of Office 2003 Standard now, will I be able to install Office
2003 Professional Upgrade later? Or, do I need to order the CD's of the
trial version of Office 2003 Professional starting out, and then install
Office 2003 Professional Upgrade? Also, please confirm I can use the Upgrade
version since this computer came with Works 8.0 OEM.

Hi Skier,

The MS Works package will qualify for using the Office 2003
upgrade edition of your choice.

Going from Office 2003 Standard to Office 2003 Professional
is considered by MS to be a crossgrade rather than an upgrade.

In your scenario you may want to uninstall the Standard
Edition then install the Professional Edition.
