The product key came on a 4x6 card with my computer. The print is really small on the card and when I enter in the product key (as I believe it reads) I get an error that it is not a valid product key. The manufacturer has said that there is no way for them to give me a code, or even verify the code if I read it to them. Can I call Microsoft for verification of the key and if so, what number would I call?

No you cannot. All support - including replacement keys and media - is the
responsibility of the manufacturer. Microsoft does not, will not and,
indeed, cannot provide any support for OEM supplied software.

This is not an OEM version of the software. It is a trial version. The same
one that I could order for free from Microsoft if I wanted to pay the $6.95
for shipping and handling. The trial version is only for 60 days and after
that you can purchase the full version and it will unlock the time
restriction on the software.
