Office 2003 Updates & Outlook Express

Can I download the MS Office 2003 updates and continue to use Outlook Express
instead of Outlook? If so, How? My mailbox defaulted to Outlook and I could
not find Outlook Express. Can I set Outlook Express as my default mailbox?
If so, how?
Thank you - I do NOT want to use the new Outlook!!
