Office 2003 updates

I currently have Office 2003 installed. When I go to office updates, I can
download the updates, but installation fails. On the list of reasons, I have
checked each one to ensure I was doing things correctly (enough space,
fullfile, etc.), but installation still fails. It does not ask for my disk,
nor do I get any clue as to why it is failing.
Has anyone had this problem/have a cure?

i think i maybe suffering the same problem initally thought it was the cd
request error by windows update as my DVDr drive was paying up but it was
checked by university personal a cable came loose - that was put back
properly - and ran office 2003 cd (AE Pro) opened in windows explorer fine -
whats updates you trying to install and what updates currently installed
might be the same as mine - no idea how to fix it with the updates
installing. i done a reinstall of office - error on reinstall aborts 1/2 way
through. Windows update still comes up installation unsuccessful
