Office 2003 - where is activation wizard

D

David_M

New hard drive installed after failure of original. I'm sure afterwards I had
activated Office 2003 over the internet but now Word, Excel and Powerpoint
will not allow opening of new files and existing files can only be viewed but
not modified because they are locked.

I understood that I should be able to find out whether or not activation had
happened by opening Word and then going to "help" and selecting "activate
product", when I would either get a message saying it was already activated
or the activation wizard would appear and I could then activate by internet
or telephone.

But when on clicking help nothing appears, so where is the activation
wizard! Any help on how to poceed would be much appreciated.

Echo S, I've taken the steps in the link but sorry to say that there is still
no activation wizard when I go to "help" and then click "activate product".
Thanks anyway for your reply.

Hi Echo S, thanks for your latest advice which is much appreciated - I've
read through it really carefully and have had another try but still without
success. I've deleted opa11 (AGAIN) and THEN gone to "help" and selected "
activate product" - BUT STILL NO SIGN OF THE ACTIVATION WIZARD!!!!!

SO HAS ANYBODY ANY IDEAS HOW TO GET OFFICE 2003 ACTIVATED?
