Office 2003 Will Not Install

I just recieved a new Microsof Office Professional 2003 package for my
Toshiba laptop. However, the software will not run in my computer. The disc
wont even load so I can do the setup steps. It wont show up in "my computer"
either. What can I do?

Define "wont even load so I can do the setup steps". Have you tried Start -
Run - browse to the CD and select Run or Setup or AutoRun (not sure what the
exact name is but I'm fairly certain it's one of those.)

I've tried nearly everything I can think of. The software doesnt show up
anywhere in my computer or in the run menu. Its like its not even recognizing
the disc is there. But the computer reads other discs.

Is it a new genuine CD? Are there smudges on it? Have you tried installing
anything else *today*?

You havnt answered the Q
1) What *exactly* happens when you put the cd in?
or
2) If browse the cd, and double click the Setup file, what *exactly*
happens?
