Good morning,
I have an odd question that I was hoping someone could help me with.
Basically, here is my setup.
I have a group of 30 computers with installations of Office 2003 and
Deep Freeze. I also have about 300 users who will be using the
computers in this lab, and the problem I want to avoid is the
"Installing Office..." and the "Enter your initials" box that pops up
when a new profile is created.
With Deep Freeze, whenever a new profile is created, it will be deleted
by Deep Freeze when the computer reboots.
Is there a way to set up the Office installation to place a generic
profile in the computer and point every user to use ONLY that profile?
Outlook will not be used, so I don't need to worry about Outlook
profiles and e-mails, etc.
I've tried using MST files, and they're great, but I couldn't find an
option to automatically create a profile and just stick it in there and
tell Office not to create a profile, just use the generic one that's
available.
Thanks!
