Office 2003, XP Home and Win98 sharing problems

None of my Office 2003 apps on my XP home machine will access files stored on
my Win 98 box. Other apps work fine ie; fax and picture viewer opens all Gfx
formats, Acrobate reader functions fine and I can browse files normally.

If I copy files to the local machine then they can be opened saved and
reterned to the 98 box.

This is a dirt simple peer-to-peer network.

Any help would be greatly apreciated.
