Office 2004 and Languages

I had the office test drive in my new PowerBook that runned in Spanish.
Then I've bought the full version and installed it in my computer but
launches the app in English.

Then I explored the office folder in both the testdrive and the full
version and found out that there is a plugin (Microsoft Component
Plugin) that tells office to run in a specific language. However, as
this plugin also seems to contain the testdrive expiration date, once
the Office program launches, it closes again.

Does some body knows how I can activate other languages in Office, as
it is clear that contains all the languages inside, but there is
something that makes it work in one of them. I'd like to point that my
interest is to browse menus and help in Spanish and I've already paid
some hundred bucks at the Apple Store.

Thanks for your comments.

First, in order to use the full version you must use the Remove Office
utility to completely uninstall the Test Drive. Otherwise the full version
will not run correctly.

Second, Office is produced in various language-specific versions, so to have
menu commands, etc. in a particular language you need that particular
language version. The references you are seeing in the English version
pertain only to Spell Check & other proofing tools, so that if you have text
content in a particular language you can still use those editing features
(Tools>Language). That does nothing, however, to change the language used in
the Menus & dialog boxes.

OK, so I undersatand that Office does not magically launch in your preferred
language from System Preferences the way most localized applications do on
the Mac.

So, how do I get these other versions? When I bought my Office:mac CD the
store did not have different-language CDs available. How do I "get", say,
the Japanese version?

Try amazon.com, click "International" at the top, and choose from among the
8 international sites, incl. Japan, France, etc. (but certainly not all
countries/areas for which Entourage has a localized version, e.g. Sweden.)
Then enter "Microsoft Office 2004" in the Search box. It worked even for
Japan. (amazon.com.jp). Shipping's bound to be expensive, if even available.
