Office 2004 Beta

I have a Beta of Office and during an error report, I was
offered an update...a 2 hour download...I declined, but
would like to get the update when my computer time is
available...Now I can't find any reference to the Beta
testing...

Can someone help me...

I'm sorry I don't know anything able Office 2004. However I do know
about the current beta for Office 2003.

If you ordered the Office 2003 beta then I don't believe you will be
able to access Beta Place for downloads and such. However if you have
a Beta ID then you can try going to: https://www.betaplace.com

Otherwise you will need to recall how you encountered the error and
duplicate the scenario in order to gain access to the update you were
offered.

Also you might check your Internet History and see if the page is
still available.

OK, Office 2003...WHATEVER!

I DID order and pay a nominal fee for this and frankly,
MS support was HORRIBLE. Two of the suites would never
install, and I never got an answer to my requests for
help. I've been using them since March (the ones that
did install) and I will certainly buy the final release
when it is ready...but most certainly NOT for the support.

Come now, I was merely teasing.

Do keep in mind it is a beta. Only those participating in the beta
received MS beta support. All others can utilize the newsgroups.

FWIW there was some concern on the beta testers part when the beta was
released to the public for shipping and handling charges (that's what
the nominal fee covered) as to what was NDA and what wasn't. Therefore
support in the newsgroups was a bit lacking due to our apprehension
but I believe everyone is clear now and those on the beta are now
offering support.

Perhaps if you post the problems you are encountering with the
installation in either the office.misc or office.setup newsgroup
someone there can help you out.
