Office 2007/2010 upgrade

I can buy Office Home/Student 2007 now for about $100 with 3 licenses and I
think upgrade to 2010 free. I have read Office Home/Student 2010 will offer a
single license and Family Pack for 3 licenses implying it will cost a lot
more to accomplish the same thing. So it seems like buying 2007 now is a no
brainer. Am I missing something?

I don't think Microsoft has put out any licensing details yet for Office
2010. If you have a web site that is saying anything about a free upgrade
or the licensing information please post the URL.

The two common suites being released are:

Microsoft Office Home and Business 2010
Includes:
• Microsoft Excel 2010
• Microsoft Outlook 2010
• Microsoft PowerPoint 2010
• Microsoft Word 2010
• Microsoft OneNote 2010

AND

Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010 — licensed for noncommercial use
Includes:
• Microsoft Excel 2010
• Microsoft PowerPoint 2010
• Microsoft Word 2010
• Microsoft OneNote 2010

I would suspect that the licensing on both suites would be similar to what
is currently available for the 2007 suites but MS can do anything between
now and the release date.

Information on the RTM was published by Microsoft on March 5th.
