Office 2007 activation - Still an issue???

I am unable to activate Office 2007 Pro b2TR. Same error msg of check
internet connectivity. Firewall is disabled. Is this still an issue with
their activation servers? I am seeing posts as old as May with this problem.
I have tried activating it for 2 days now.

news, but at least MS is now aware there is an issue. I wish they would read

Go to the "Office 2007 activation issue" discussion. An MVP named Patrick
Schmid posted a link to a knowledgebase article that tells you how to
activate with going on the internet. Another gentleman posted the same
article, but I can't find his post to give him proper credit too. :)

Basically, it's uninstall and reinstall with a VLK, or hack the registry and
enter the VLK. I had to uninstall and reinstall, but it's working fine.

(VLK=Volume License Key...used by large corporations who just pay the
license fee for several hundred or thousand uses, and just use the one key so
they can script the installation.)
