There seems to be a problem on the server side dealing with activation.
Myself (and others) just want to know when it will be fixed so we can
activate our products. :)

Vista I will be duel booting (When I ran the 98 and XP CPPs I did straight
upgrade) The 98 I may had even did GM as an upgrade from Beta 3.

And if you only have one computer and insist on downloading betas within
24 hours of having them go public, you need to be aware that there will be
problems and your computer may be down for an undetermined time. There's
no way I am going to download the beta until I can do it on a different
system. This one is my lifeline. I use it for business and personal work.
I cannot afford to be without it.

Office 2007
Beta 2, will not activate.

I'm having the exact same problem.

Can I put a me too on this?
I tried turning off my firewall and no dice. (Even though it is set

I hope iot is not because i use forefox as my default browser (using

Some folks only HAVE ONE computer. It is good to know that Microsoft iS
AWARE of this and should be working to solve this.

Many of us would like to have Office 2007 activated so we can give it a
proper evaluation.

And if you only have one computer and insist on downloading betas within
24 hours of having them go public, you need to be aware that there will
be problems and your computer may be down for an undetermined time.
There's no way I am going to download the beta until I can do it on a
different system. This one is my lifeline. I use it for business and
personal work. I cannot afford to be without it.

Since you should be testing the beta on a second computer, you should
just
give Microsoft time to resolve the issues and continue working on your
regular system.

The workarounds in the Knowledge Base article make no
difference.
Office 2007
Beta 2, will not activate.

I'm having the exact same problem.

Can I put a me too on this?
I tried turning off my firewall and no dice. (Even though it is set
to
allow
word to access)

I hope iot is not because i use forefox as my default browser (using
Forefox

Some folks only HAVE ONE computer. It is good to know that Microsoft iS
AWARE of this and should be working to solve this.

Many of us would like to have Office 2007 activated so we can give it a
proper evaluation.

No one knows when it will be fixed. I'd say to stay way from the site for
several days and give Microsoft time to work on the issue. How can anyone
expect a problem to be resolved quickly if there are thousands of people
jamming up the works?

There seems to be a problem on the server side dealing with activation.
Myself (and others) just want to know when it will be fixed so we can
activate our products. :)

Vista I will be duel booting (When I ran the 98 and XP CPPs I did straight
upgrade) The 98 I may had even did GM as an upgrade from Beta 3.

wait until they get most of the kinks worked out.

Hi Tech,

The activation process on the servers has been tweaked. Let us know if you succeed or still have an issue in activating (and if so
the exact message you're getting).
