Office 2007 ADM files

I have tried several ways to open the AdminTemplates.exe but it keeps asking
me to do a \extract command. I have tried it using the command line (run,
cmd) along with the path to extract the files - but no luck.

Would like to get the group policies for Office 2007 if possible. Thanks

Hi Medic,

To extract the ADM templates see if these steps help.

===========
1. Locate your 2007 Office Professional Beta 2
Technical Refresh Admin Templates
download file and note the folder/path location.

2. Create a new folder on your PC and note that
folder/path location.

3. Use Start=>Run , and on a single line, type in
the following (using the path & file names from
Step 4 & Step 5, above)

"drive:\Step4PathOfDownload\downloadfilename.exe" /extract:"Step5path"

example: If saved your download in a '\downloads' folder and then created a new empty folder named 'C:\Off2007B2TR-ADM' to hold
the
Office 2007 CD image that you're about to create, then the Start=>Run line would look like this sample (the use of quotes and spaces
is important)

"c:\downloads\AdminTemplates.exe" /extract:"C:\Off2007B2TR-ADM"

After a minute or two you should see a message telling you if the extraction was successful.

Bob,

I did every step you listed and I was only able to get " The 2007 Microsoft
Office System (Beta) Administrative Templates" Windows box with the following
messages inside the box

Usages:
/extract:path, extracts the content of the package to the path folder
/quiet, runs the package in silent mode
/?, shows this help message

OK Button

I tried this numerous times using the Run command no ADM files.

Perhaps something is wrong with the file. I re-downloaded the file and same
results.
Awaiting response.

What are the names of the folder you have the template in and the one you're extracting to?

What is the exact/complete command line you're using in Start=>Run?
