Office 2007 -- Are apps in different suites 100% identical?

Sheila

The 5 apps I want are Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and OneNote. That
makes my most economical route: the Home and Student suite plus a separate
copy of Outlook.

Are the applications 100% identical in every suite? I don't want to purchase
Home and Student and find that some feature from the Trial that I really like
is unavailable.

Thanks.

Short answer: Yes
Long answer:
For every version of Office that Microsoft has ever released, the individual
applications that comprise the 'Office Suite' are identical across all
suites for that version.
Word 2007, for instance, is "Word 2007" whether you buy "Word 2007" as a
single application, or as part of _any_ of the various Office 2007 Suites.

YOu will have some problems with Outlook's integration with H&S edition - like mail merges, send to from Office applications, etc.

In that case, I'll go with Standard plus OneNote.

Thank you, everyone.

BTW, I do have OneNote 2003 but can't find the OneNote Upgrade for sale in
Canada. Is it available here?

Yes and no. Yes they are the same but there are three suites that include
Information Rights Management (IRM) functionality. These are: Microsoft
Office Ultimate 2007, Office Professional Pro Plus 2007, and Office
Enterprise 2007. However, in order to use IRM you also need Microsoft
Windows Rights Management Services (RMS) for Windows Server 2003 so most
users won't actually need or miss the additional functionality. Note
documents protected with IRM can be read in all suites.

Hi Steve,

Unfortunately your long answer isn't quite correct :)
For the Office 2003 series the version of Word 2003 and Excel 2003 came in two flavors. One for standalone and Pro series and one,
less XML capability, in the other editions.

In Office 2007, Enterprise/volume license editions have support for IRM that the retail and OEM editions do not have.
