Office 2007 beta can't find internet to activate

I try to activate office - internet is working and I've turned off virus
checker, fire wall, anti spyware software - but the programme says it can't
find the internet or it claims to have a communication problem.

Hi Mark, same problem here. click on activate if it gets about 2/5ths along
the bar it suddenly pops up no internet connection and the rest of the time
it gets to 4/5ths of the bar then throws up the communication error.
