Office 2007 beta: Excel. Word etc don't open saved or 2003 files

P

Pericles Sachinis

1. Downloaded 2007 beta + beta2 technical refresh
2. Conflict with 2003
3. Upgraded to Norton Internet Security 2007 and full scanned PC
4. Removed both 2003 and 2007
5. Reinstaled 2007 + technical refresh
6. No files (even those created in 2007) can be opened > message that files
are either infected or corrupted (nothing of the two happen)

Any good advice?

In the Options section of the controls for your Symantec-Norton product Miscellaneous section turn off the 'Office Plugin' choice,
restart the Office 2007 B2TR apps and see if you're now able to open the files.
