Office 2007 beta hosed after Windows update

Windows was updated and now Office 2007 is dead. I can't repair or remove,
because I get a message telling me the installation is corrupted. When I try
to reinstall, I get an error. I do a system restore, everything is fine, but
then the update happens again and I'm back to square one. Help!!

Follow-up. After a system restore, I tried to remove Office 2007 beta, but
still got the message that the installation was corrupt and that I should run
it again from the original install file -- which, again, failed (error 2711).
I appear to be totally screwed. I can't get Office 2003 (a paid version) to
run instead, I can't get rid of 2007, and 2007 won't run since the last
Windows Update.

I have tried office 2007 this weekend and have the exact same issue. If I
try to change/remove 2007, I get the error that it is corrupt and to
re-install. If I try to re-install, I get the error that it won't install.
This endless loop is getting annoying.
Any suggestions at this point would be helpful.

Can you remove it completely?

I actually found someone's instructions in another post on how to use the
installer to find and remove it. Otherwise, I was stuck. Any attempt to
remove through Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs just brought up an error
that said the installation was corrupt and to re-install. However,
re-installation brings up an error that said it can't be installed. As soon
as the B2TR gets installed, you cannot re-install the B2 again without
removing it.
I found other instructions on how to configure Outlook with a new profile.
It works, but doesn't seem to be the best approach. Hopefully, they will
work this out before the full release.
