Office 2007 Beta install on a virtual Machine

I am seeing a problem when attempting to install the Office 2007 beta ( US
version ) on a new clean Install of XP media center edition using Virtual
PC. It appears to install normally -- asks for the product key, shows the
options, etc then before it finishes, I get a screen that says the
install encountered a problem with only a close button available. Is
there an install log file generated somewhere? any other suggestions?

Normally, the setup log for Office 2007 installations can be located by going to Start=>Run and typing
%temp%

Found the log file " setup" and it shows error code 1601(0X64) Failed to
install product


Ant ideas as to why ?
