Office 2007 Beta2

Have installed Beta2 and everytime I try to use word it causes a crash and
the computer restarts. After restart it states recovering from serious crash
(not exact word) (just a old Army type. Any way is this a common problem or
is there a update on the beta.

Thanks

There is no update.
Can you tell us what you do in Word when the crash happens?

After I open it I try to go to Word, which will open some times, then it
crashes when to try to start or to work on the labels.

Won't open Word document

I just downloaded the last update and it corrupted the file I was working on.
Tried to restore and error "The microsot office open xml file ---- cannot be
opened because there are problems with the contents" Details "Elements and
attributes in restricted namespaces are not allowed. Location: Part:
/word/fontTable.xml, Line:2, Column: 158" .

I am having similar issues. I am in the process of downloading the TR to see
if that helps.

I have exactly the same problem, after installing Office 2007 beta 2 on
a new computer, from an installer I had kept.

The error location is at the closing greater-than sign at the end of
the <w:fonts> tag in the following:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
<w:fonts
xmlns:r="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/officeDocument/2006/relationships"
xmlns:w="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/wordprocessingml/2006/main"><w:font

I really need to recover the file I am working on. Any ideas?

I discovered that the problem was that beta 2 cannot open files written
by the beta 2 with beta refresh. Once I applied the refresh, the files
opened fine.

I have the same problem with Word files, can't be opened because of problem
with contents. It's really stupid... Same version of Office, with the same
Beta 2 TR installed!
