When I use the converter tool to open XL 2007 documents in XL 2003,
sometimes it works without a hitch and sometimes I get the following
error message:
"This file was created in a newer version of Microsoft Excel. The file
has been converted to a format you cna work with, but the following
issues were encountered. The file has been opened in read-only mode to
protect the original file.
"One or more functions in this workbook are not available in this
version of Excel. When recalculated these functions will returns a
#NAME? error instead of returning calculated results.
"Some cells have more conditional formats then are allowed in this
version of Excel. Only the first three conditions will be displayed."
I understand the first warning--I used the new IFERROR function--but I
don't recall applying conditional formatting to the XL 07 document in
question.
In any event when I click the OK button, I get another error: "The
Converter failed to open the file."
Any ideas?
