Office 2007 - display path and filename in menu bar

B

Boris

Hi,
I have Office 2007 installed on my XP system. By default, programs in the
suite display only the filename in the title bar and I am trying to get them
to display the fully resolved filename (ie including path) - or at least as
much of it as they can fit. I have not managed to find any way of allowing me
to set this option. Is this feature available somewhere? Or does anyone have
any other suggestions?
Many thanks and best wishes, Boris.

Displaying the path and file name in the title bar has never been a feature
of the Office applications. There are some VBA solutions but I don't view
them as 100% reliable. The only reliable solution is to add the Document
Location command to your Quick Access Toolbar:

- Click the More (or Customize) command at the end of the QAT and then click
More Commands.
- In Choose Commands From, select Commands Not In the Ribbon.
- Locate Document Location, select it, and then click Add to add it to your
QAT.
