Office 2007 Document Scanning Error

G

Gene

Hello,

I am getting the following error in Office 2007 Document Scanning when I
click on the scan button:

"Microsoft Document Scanning has stopped working"
"A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the
program"

The scanner is an HP Laserjet 3320mfp device. The software environment is
Vista SP1 and MSO 2007 SP1. This hardware was working correctly with MSO
2003 running on Windows XP SP2 and currently work fine with Vista Fax and
Scan.

The following troubleshooting was done with no success:
1. Driver removed and reinstalled. (Driver for this hardware is built into
Vista, HP does not supply a Vista driver on its website). Computer and
scanner were restarted multiple times during this process.
2. MSO Diagnostics was run without any findings of trouble.
3. Created new preset with the lowest resolution and flaltbed only scanning
and attempted to scan again.

None of these approaches worked. Any assistance troubleshooting this issue
would be appreciated.

Thanks

I'm having the exact same issue. It only started though after
upgrading to Vista SP1.
