Office 2007 Home and 'other' Office XP Applications

S

Slithe

I currently have Office XP Pro, but there are couple of new features in Word
2007 particularly, which would make my studies easier. As Office 2007 Home
and Student only contains Word, Power Point and Excel, would my other
applications such as Access XP, Outlook XP and Front Page XP still be
accessible? I use these, but not as much as the other applications but can't
afford to lose them...

Is it just a case of putting the Office 2007 into the drive and letting it
install, or do I need to do something to protect the other applications?

Many thanks and apologies if this question has been asked a million times
before...

You can choose a custom installation of Office 2007 to select which older apps will be retained. Generally a new version of MS
Office won't remove apps that it can't supercede with newer ones, so Access, Outlook and Front Page should be okay. Outlook 2002
may not be able to use Word as the email editor if the only version of Word is 2007.
