Assuming it is a retail version, not OEM, it should. You may need to use the
telephone activation method.

If it's a retail version yes. if OEM, no.

Out of idle curiosity, and semi-related. If I had to re-install my OS, or
wanted upgrade, would I be able to install the OEM Office on the computer?

Yes. You can re-install an OEM version as many times as you like on the same
machine...
