Office 2007 Licensing Question

P

Phil Rack

I received a copy of Office 2007 at one of the Get Started events last month.
I've still not installed the software yet... but I'm itching to do it. My
question, I'll be migrating to Vista late summer. The primary software that I
use, SAS, does not yet run properly on Vista and the next release is supposed
to take care of that.

If I install Office 2007 on my XP Pro box, can I move Office 2007 to the new
Vista OS? It's going to be on the same physical box just a new OS. Is this
even possible? If not, I'll just hold on to Office 2007 and continue using
Office 2003.

Thanks, Phil

Hi Phil,

The retail and 'not for resale' complimentary editions are transferable to a different machine or different version of Windows that
supports it. Generally, installing Office after a clean install of a Windows version has tended to produce less problematic
results.
