Office 2007 licensing question.

Im trying to find the cheapest method of getting the whole office on office
2007.
The open license with media kit is the best way to go as the same product
key is used for each install but it is proving a bit expensive.

IF we purchased 5 open licenses and a media kit, we would be given an open
license product key. If i then purchased say 30 Microsoft works and then 30
office 2007 upgrade boxed procducts. Can the Open license product key be
used on the 30 office 2007 products I have instead of having to open up each
box ?

thanks for any replies

No, Open License doesn't work that way. You would need to purchase 35
licenses for the 35 installations with the Open License key. Open license
keys will only activate the product purchased through open license. If you
exceed the number of activations on the license, you may also find that
Microsoft blocks any further activations until more licenses are purchased.

To purchase the Works and Ultimate or Professional upgrade may be cheaper in
the long run but you have to worry about all of the license keys. I don't
know what a 35 unit open license purchase of Office Pro or Ultimate would
cost but you should contact various software suppliers and discuss with them
what the purchase price would be.
