How do I stop Outlook 2007 from repeatedly prompting with login prompts?
Password is save - even shown in login dialogs. I upgraded from 2003 to 2007
Professional hoping they had fixed this... nope. I paid big $$$ for this
program and it is worthless unless I sit in front of the computer to click an
un-needed login prompt.
I leave my home system running 24/day - check mail in the morning, leave.
Quite often I will return home and a Login for one of the Hotmail/Live
accounts entered will be waiting to be clicked. Clicking it - sometimes
fails, sometimes finishes - but Every time, doing a Send/Receive afterwards
will result in tons of mail waiting to be retrieved.
I have 3 hotmail accounts (All grandfathered original pre 2000 Outlook
ready), one for myself, one for my wife and one for my mother.
I also have a home business with 5 POP3 accounts and a gmail account. All
wait till the prompt is closed...
When a password is assigned to an account - the login prompt should NEVER be
shown - if an account cannot be logged into immediately - Outlook should
retry a few times and timeout. I would have it try 5 more times, 5 minutes
apart and then take the account offline...
Any ideas? Any registry setting I can modify/add? I am a Software
Developer/Engineer IV... I do not understand why such a flaw exists in a
'Professional' product.
Thanks,
Todd
