Office 2007 OCT corruption? Loose settings?

I have been using the original release Office Customization Tool from late
2007. If I wasn’t a dork I would of discovered there is a new version
released last year, OCT ver. 2.0. I have OCT files created and I’m wondering
if open the files with the OCT version 2, will I lose any settings since it
was created with the original version? Is there any other risk importing
these MSP files created with OCT 1.0?

BTW, has anyone heard of OCT file corruption if opening 20-30 times that
Microsoft says can happen? What if I save each file under a different name,
will that ward off corruption?

Thanks!

There is no problem with opening files created with the RTM version of OCT in
the September 2007 update version. In fact, it is advisable to open the
files in the newer version and then save them again.

I'm not familiar with the "opening OCT files 20-30 times can lead to
corruption" issue, but again saving the files with the newer version would
likely help with that as well.
