Office 2007 : Outlook or not Outlook?

D

Dan Marinø

Hi all

I have installed the Trial of Microsoft Office Professional 2007, and i
have found Outlook Installed. At the page
http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/products/FX101635841033.aspx , Microsoft
says that in the real package I'll not find it in.

Someone can explain? ^__^

And, if i want these apps:
- word
- excel
- outlook
- access
- onenote

What is the best formula (= the least expensive) for my needs? Professional
+ OneNote? Standard + Access + OneNote? The 5 packages bought separately?

You will need to uninstall any prior version of Outlook from your machine and then re-run setup using a custom setup and select Outlook from the options offered.

One Note is not offered as a part of any retail package you are looking at - it comes with Home and Student which does not have the rest of what you are looking for - it will have to be purchased separately. Only Professional gives you Access which is a lot more expensive if purchased separately. So Professional + One Note looks like your best deal.

Hi Dan,

There are two 'flavors' of MS Office Outlook 2007 in the chart.
(a) Outlook 2007
(b) Outlook 2007 with (the) Business Contact Manager (add-in)

MS Office 2007 Professional Edition has (b).

The suggested retail pricing for each of the MS Office 2007 products is available on the Pricing page from

http://office.microsoft.com/suites

Unlike prior versions of Office you will be able to purchase the upgrade package of a single 2007 app (where available) to add to an
Office 2007 product suite.

Hi Dan,

The table is correct, please see the descriptions in my previous message. The MS Outlook Business Contact Manager Add-in is a
separate installation from a 2nd CD (or 2nd CD download in the case of the trial version).
