Office 2007 product key not working...at all

i just purchased a lap top thats it...so i cant use it at all?...then what is
the product key on the bottom for...cuz it says proof of license next to it

Thats the key for windows.
Perhaps your version of Office is a trial?
Ask your laptop supplier where they put the key for Office
