Office 2007 Professional

Hi,

I was looking into purchasing Office 2007 Professional. I found a "regular"
one as well as a "student" version. What is the difference between the two?
I am unsure which to get...

Thanks.

Effectively the Student version cannot be used for commercial purposes...

Does this mean it doesn't have the same abilities for the user as the
non-student version? Not quite sure what you mean by "commercial purposes"

Thanks.

It means you can't use it for making money. In a paid job. In a business.
That's all. Otherwise the versions are EXACTLY the same, excepting that Home
and Student doesn't include Outlook.

Thanks. That helps a lot. I DO want Outlook so it sounds like that is not
the choice for me (since I am not using it for a paid job I could use the
Student version...but thought it also included Outlook)...glad to learn it
doesn't before buying it and being disappoiinted! Thanks.

There are Academic pricings for the full suites - (i.e. cheap!) but it seems
to depend what country you are in as to the exact terms of how you qualify
for academic pricing...

Also depends on the deal that your school has with Microsoft. I attend a
school where we can get the full profession for $40. It used to be $25, but
you know inflation.

Outlook is also available stand alone. The cost of the Student version plus
Outlook might be less than the cost of the full professional version.
