I received a new laptop for a Christmas present which came loaded with
Office 2007 trial and Vista. The trial recently expired while I was
in the middle of preparing for a large event, so without thinking it
through, I downloaded Office 2003 Student edition (which I had a
license for). Now I cannot open more than one application of anything
(Internet, Office applications, Wordmail, etc.) without the computer
freezing and telling me I don't have enough memory.
I'm not familiar with computers - can someone explain in layman's
terms what I need to do to keep the laptop functioning properly? Do I
need to uninstall Office 2007? Is Office 2003 not compatible with my
Vista operating system - do I need to uninstall that and bite the
bullet on purchasing Office 2007? I don't care for Office 2007 and
since I am running Office 2003 and XP at work, switching back and
forth is a nightmare.
