Office 2007 Scanning

In older versions of Word it used to be possible to insert a picture
straight from the twain scanning client. In Word 2007 this is no longer
possible. I wonder why - it was such a useful thing to have.
Can anyone write a bit of code to be able to do this?? What a challenge!

An excellent solution - I wonder why microsoft don't have a library of such
elegant solutions!
