Office 2007 SP1 not recognized by Windows Update

B

Bob

Hi,

I installed Office 2007 SP1 via WSUS. Word "Help" indicates it is installed
as does Visa "Programs and Features". But Windows Update says that it is
not. So in an attempt to resolve this, I allowed Windows Update to install
it again. Upon the next reboot and restart of Windows Update, it once again
is offering to install SP1.

How do I resolve this?

P.S. I also trying to bring down Vista SP1 beta. I've successfully
installed the three prereq patches, but Vista SP1 does not appear as an
option in Windows Update. Maybe these are related?

Hi Bob,

It is a Windows Update related issue, you may post it to the update newsgroup (microsoft.public.windowsupdate).

Personal suggestions:

Thanks Emily,

It seems the third attempt at installing SP1 was the charm. I did a fresh
boot, installed SP1, immediately rebooted, and it seemed to take this last
time. Also, Vista SP1 RC is installed now, so maybe that helped too.
