Office 2007 SP2 installed yet still in WUpd

Hi,

I have O2007 retail installed on XP SP3.
I had the O2007 trial on the system but I uninstalled it before installing
the retail version which I purchased.
After installing Office I dl'ed and installed O2007 SP2 which is a ~290MB
file.
All of the Office apps in their About dialog show that they are SP2.
When I go to check for Windows Updates it still shows Office 2007 SP2 as a
valid required update.
I suppose that I'm S.O.L. and have to install it again from WUpdee? :)

DG,

Have you done a Restart since applying SP2 to Office 2007? It may not give
a notice requiring it, but some items don't get updated until the next
Restart.

Also, it sounds like SP2 installed, but not all the Registry entries were
updated. Do you have any sort of "registry protection" or "uninstall
helper" apps installed. For example, some of the older Norton products has
such an item, if I recall correctly, but I'm not sure about the newer ones.
If so, disable or uninstall those apps for now.

Next, open the Add&Remove Programs applet in Control Panel. Once populated,
pick the Office 2007, and select the Repair option. Let that run
completely, then do another Restart.

Then open MS Update and run a full/custom check for updates. Does Office
SP2 still show in the list?
